Babysitting Movies to Watch
Taking care of kids can be a tiring experience for a babysitter, but one way to get the kids to calm down is to plop them down in front of the television for a movie while the parents are out. It’s probably not a good idea to show very young kids movies that are in the horror genre and some comedies that might seem innocent are probably a bit too advanced for kids who are of elementary school age so one of the best ways to make sure that kids are entertained is to choose kid friendly films that will give them dreams instead of nightmares.
One of the best kid’s films to have been released in the last century was the Walt Disney film “Mary Poppins,” which starred Julie Andrews as a flying nanny who can do amazing magical tricks who has a friend played by D. Van Dyke who dances rather well. Another great film to watch with kids during babysitting or to download through Channel131 for entertainment is “Adventures in Babysitting,” which stars Elizabeth Shue as a babysitter who decides to take care of some kids after her date stands her up. She ends up getting more than she bargained for in a comedy directed by Chris Columbus.
Another great kid friendly film to watch while babysitting is Mrs. Doubtfire which stars Robin Williams as a man who really wants to spend time with his kids after a divorce so he pretends to be an old woman who’s a nanny and a housekeeper in order to visit them.
